For each strategy, Alpha examines the Statement of Investment Performance and its accompanying Notes — reviewing the evidence behind the results and confirming that returns were calculated using the criteria set out in those notes. The work is designed to provide reasonable assurance that the reported performance reflects actual trading, not a curated illustration.
The engagement concludes with an independent verifier’s opinion. For DIVITAE’s strategies, that opinion reads, in substance:
“In our opinion, the Statements referred to above present, in all material respects, the performance record of the strategy for the periods examined, based on the criteria set forth in the Notes to the Statement of Investment Performance.”
